The Child Care First Aid course, is a popular courses for those working with children for their employment. This course encompasses all four units of competency listed above
How long is this course valid
Your Child Care First Aid certificate remains valid for three years. However, the Australian Resuscitation Council advises undertaking a CPR refresher course every 12 months.
Duration of Course
The First Aid Course is all face-to-face. There is no online or prior learning required. The course runs for 6-7 hours.

- Diabetes, Seizures, Asthma, Allergic Reactions, Anaphylaxis
- Administering Care for Wounds and Managing Bleeding
- Providing Treatment for Burns
- Managing Fractures, Dislocations, Sprains, and Strains
- Adherence to Reporting Protocols Involving Children
- Addressing Hypothermia and Hyperthermia
- Attending to Head, Neck, and Spinal Injuries
- Managing Various Medical Emergencies
- Reacting to Choking Episodes
- Administering Care for Abdominal and Chest Injuries
- Handling Poisoning Incidents

This course covers all industries as it includes everything in the First Aid Course but has the additional HLTAID012 unit. Child Care First Aid Certificiate
All participants must undergo an assessment after training for the Child Care First Aid Course
All our Child Care first Aid certificates come with a QR code. This QR code can be scanned by your employer to verify authenticity.
All participants that successfully complete the Child Care first aid course will be issued a statement of attainment (certificate)
You will be issued your Child Care first aid certificate straight after your course to use immediately.

Allowances can be made for participants with language, literacy & numeracy issues.
RPL recognises people who already have the knowledge and skills required for competency in various elements of units of an accredited training package should not be required to re-learn what they already know. The process of RPL also takes into account that various competencies can be acquired through:
- previous qualification,
- work experience and
- Life experience
