3 Simple Steps to Obtaining a Scaffolding Ticket
Complete the Scaffolding training and receive your Statement of Attainment (SOA) — the nationally recognised certificate showing you’ve successfully completed the Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced course. This SOA is required to apply for your Scaffolding licence with your state authority, ensuring you can work safely and legally on scaffolding structures.
Whether you’re starting a career in construction or moving into a specialised scaffolding role, follow these simple steps to obtain your official Scaffolding certification.
The next step is to book a date that works best for your schedule. Choose from our available sessions and enrol to secure your spot.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Scaffolding ticket do I need — Basic, Intermediate or Advanced?
Your ticket level depends on the type of scaffolding work you plan to do.
- Basic (SB) covers modular scaffolds, fall protection systems and basic structures.
- Intermediate (SI) includes cantilevered, spurred and barrow ramps.
- Advanced (SA) covers hung, suspended and complex scaffolding systems.
If you’re unsure which scaffolding ticket is required for your job or worksite, our team can recommend the correct level so you enrol in the right course.
Are your Scaffolding tickets nationally recognised across Australia?
Yes. National Courses (RTO 41072) delivers the nationally accredited units CPCCLSF2001, CPCCLSF3001 and CPCCLSF4001.
Your Statement of Attainment is recognised in every state and territory and can be used to apply for a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) through your state regulator (e.g., SafeWork NSW, WorkSafe QLD, WorkSafe WA).
What are the entry requirements for Scaffolding training?
To enrol, you must be:
-
At least 18 years old (HRWL requirement)
-
Able to provide valid photo ID
-
Wearing correct PPE (long pants, steel-cap boots, high-vis shirt)
You do not need prior scaffolding experience — all levels include supervised, practical training designed to build competency from the ground up.
-
How long is the Scaffolding course and when do I receive my certificate?
Each Scaffolding course runs over multiple days to cover the required practical and assessment components.
Once you’re deemed competent, you’ll receive your Statement of Attainment (SOA) on the same day, which you can use immediately to apply for your High Risk Work Licence.
Can I complete multiple Scaffolding levels back-to-back?
Yes. Many students complete Basic → Intermediate → Advanced over consecutive sessions depending on scheduling and trainer availability.
You must complete each level in order, as the higher levels require competencies demonstrated in the previous one.
Do you offer on-site Scaffolding training for companies?
Yes. National Courses delivers on-site Scaffolding training for construction companies, major projects, shutdowns and labour hire providers.
We train groups at your worksite using your equipment (where compliant), or we can arrange training at one of our approved locations.Group rates and Price Beat Guarantee available.
