USI (Unique Student Identifier) Requirements
All participants enrolling in our short courses are required to have a USI. The USI is a national identifier that allows your training records to be securely stored and accessed online.
If you already have a USI, please provide it during enrollment.
If you do not have a USI, you will need to create one before starting the course. Creating a USI is free and can be done online using your personal details, such as your name, date of birth, and email.
The USI ensures that your course completion is officially recorded and accessible for future reference.

Training, Assessment and Certification Process
Start by participating in the required face-to-face Traffic Control training at one of our NSW or QLD venues. This practical course equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to safely control traffic using a stop-slow bat and manage worksite safety in accordance with government regulations.
Upon successfully completing your training and assessment, your assessor will issue a Statement of Attainment for the RIISS00054 Traffic Controller Skill Set. This allows you to apply directly to the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) for your official Traffic Controller Industry Authority Card.
Once your application is submitted to TMR, your Traffic Controller card will be processed and mailed to your address, typically arriving within a few weeks.
Our trainers are committed to your success. At all NSW and QLD training locations, they provide supportive, hands-on instruction — and will stay back after sessions to offer extra help if you need assistance with any part of the course.
